Questions people actually ask
Does this include the Burj Khalifa?
No — tickets are separate, because the slot times sell independently and we would rather you choose the hour than have one imposed. Add it when you book and we build the day around your slot.
Is the gold souk a tourist trap?
It is a genuine wholesale market that tourists also visit. Gold is sold by weight at a published daily rate plus a making charge, so the price of the metal is not negotiable but the making charge is. Your guide will explain the difference before you enter.
How much walking is there?
Roughly two hours in total, in three separate stretches, all on flat ground. The car is never far away.
Can we do this in the evening instead?
Yes, and in summer we recommend it — the souks stay open late and the fountain shows run through the evening. The Al Fahidi quarter is quieter but less atmospheric after dark.
Is it suitable for children?
Yes. The abra crossing is usually the part they remember. Child seats are free if you tell us ages when booking.
Do we need to cover up?
Only for the Jumeirah Mosque stop, and only knees and shoulders. Dubai generally is relaxed, but modest dress in the older quarters is appreciated.
