Questions people actually ask
Is a private tour worth it in New York?
In New York more than most cities, because the difference between a good day and a bad one is knowing when to walk and when to drive. A guide who reads the traffic saves you two hours you would otherwise spend in a vehicle on Sixth Avenue.
Do you include the 9/11 Museum?
No — the outdoor memorial plaza is included, the museum is a separate ticket and a separate 90 minutes. Add it when you book if you want it and we shorten the afternoon accordingly.
Can we customise the route?
Yes, and most people do. Tell your guide in the morning what you would rather drop. Brooklyn, Harlem and the Bronx are all possible if something else goes.
How much walking is involved?
Four to five miles across the day, in stretches of twenty to forty minutes, all on flat pavement. The vehicle is always nearby.
Are you the operator here?
No. In New York we are a booking agent working with licensed local guides — we do not pretend otherwise. What we control is the price, the no-fee policy and the cancellation terms.
What happens if it rains?
The route shifts indoors — Grand Central, Chelsea Market, the museums — and the vehicle does more of the work. We do not cancel for rain and we do not refund for it, but the day still works.
