Questions people actually ask
Is Wynwood safe?
The Walls district and the surrounding blocks are busy, policed and fine during the day. Like any city, the picture changes several blocks out and after dark — your guide keeps you in the right area.
Is Little Havana touristy?
Calle Ocho's central blocks are, unavoidably. It is also a real neighbourhood where real people play dominoes, and an hour there is worth more than a day on Ocean Drive.
Can we swap Wynwood for the beach?
Yes. It is a private vehicle and a flexible route — tell your guide in the morning.
How much of this is walking?
About ninety minutes in three stretches, all flat. Miami's heat is the limiting factor, not the distance.
Do we need cash?
A little, for coffee, a cigar or a tip. Everything else takes cards.
Is the art-deco district worth an early start?
Yes. By 11:00 Ocean Drive is a wall of people and parked cars, and the buildings — which are the actual reason to be there — disappear behind them.
